Homebase offer you two completely different insurance packages for cats and dogs stating that they know how both animals have different needs and so they need to be covered for different things; however you can save 10% on either insurance policy when you buy online.

Homebase cat insurance starts from £3.58 a month, they offer two levels of insurance policies which are cat care and cat care plus, for both moggie cats and pedigree cats. With the cat care policy you are able to get up to £1,000 worth of vet fees paid for each year, £500 towards recovery expenses and cattery costs, you also get £1,500 towards a holiday cancellation and £1,000 emergency expenses whilst aboard.  With the cat care plus you can get up to £2,500 towards veterinary costs per year, £250 towards repeat tic and tapeworm treatment, £1,500 quarantine costs and £1,000 towards recovery expenses. Homebase unlike a number of other insurance companies don’t put a time limit on the time of which you can claim. They also offer a 7.5% discount on top of all the other discounts if your cat has been micro-chipped, and if they haven’t they will give you £15 towards getting them micro-chipped!

Homebase’s dog insurance covers starts from £7.07 for cross breeds and from £8.40 for pedigrees, they offer three levels of insurance which are Silver, Gold and Platinum.  Within their Silver insurance cover package they offer up to £3,000 towards vet fee’s over 12 months, as well as this you can get £1 million towards any 3rd liability costs, £150 towards repeat tick and tapeworm treatment, £250 towards boarding fees and £500 towards advertising and reward costs if your pet gets lost or stolen. Some of the things you get included in their Gold insurance pack are up to £5000 towards vet fees over 12 months, £750 if your pet dies from accident or illness, £1.5 million towards any 3rd liability costs, £250 towards an emergency expenses whilst abroad and £500 towards accidental damage. In their Platinum insurance pack some of the cover you get includes up to £7,500 per year with no limited to the cover period, £1,500 if your pet gets stolen or strays, £1,000 towards emergency expenses abroad, £5,000 towards holiday cancellation and £250 towards the loss of a pets passport.
